Universiti Brunei Darussalam, established in 1985, welcomed 1,097 new students for the 2026/2027 session. Its fee schedule for the 2026/2027 intake lists international undergraduate programme fees from BND 16,500 for non-lab bachelor's degrees to BND 60,000 for Dentistry. Graduate applications for the February 2027 intake close on 20 September 2026, and applicants need IELTS 6.0.

Undergraduate applicants need an IELTS score of 6.0, a TOEFL overall score of at least 550 (paper-based), Band B2 in the UBD English Proficiency Test, or an equivalent school English qualification such as grade B in IGCSE English as a Second Language. Graduate applicants need IELTS Academic 6.0, TOEFL PBT 550 or Band B2 in the UBD English Proficiency Test; the institutional TOEFL-ITP is not accepted, and some research programmes ask for the equivalent of IELTS 6.5.
