UCLouvain Tuition Fees 2027 for International Students

UCLouvain charges the same full registration fee to Belgian, EU and assimilated students: EUR 1,194 for 2026-27, pending approval by the government of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, or EUR 835 for an intermediate financial category and EUR 374 for a low-income one. Students of non-EU nationality who are not assimilated pay an additional contribution of EUR 4,175 on top of the full fee, which is EUR 5,369 in all, and UCLouvain itself gives EUR 5,369 as the fee for such a student who interrupts or changes programme. The supplementary contribution is not charged to students assimilated to Belgians, to citizens of countries listed in the annexes of ARES circular 2026-001, to holders of a French Community secondary certificate after two years in that system, to doctoral students, to students in the AESS teacher training programme or to Wallonia-Brussels International scholarship holders. UCLouvain's fee schedule adds that the supplementary amount can depend on nationality, programme and level and is confirmed by the enrolment office during enrolment, so the EUR 4,175 figure should be checked against the offer letter. Bachelor students who started earlier stay on transitional rates of EUR 2,505 or EUR 4,175 until 2026-27 at the latest. The application fee is EUR 200 and is deducted from tuition on admission.
