Tuition applies to students from outside the EU, the EEA and Switzerland who study in a bachelor's or master's programme taught in English. Tampere sets one figure for the whole university rather than one per programme: 10,000 euros per academic year in all Tampere University bachelor's programmes and 12,000 euros per academic year in all master's programmes. Tampere University scholarships awarded at admission cover 50 per cent of the tuition for the length of the programme and are highly selective, granted to a small number of exceptionally qualified applicants; the scholarship is applied for as part of the admission application, not separately. An early bird offer reduces the first year's fee by 2,000 euros. A student who finishes a Tampere bachelor's degree within three academic years and continues to a Tampere master's degree receives a graduation scholarship worth a further 2,000 euros off the first year of the master's.
