English test waiver
Tallinn University lists its accepted proofs as exhaustive and does not accept Duolingo or a medium of instruction letter. IELTS Academic, including IELTS Online and One Skill Retake, must be 6.0 with at least 5.5 in each component. TOEFL iBT must be 72 for tests before 21 January 2026, with section minimums of 18 in reading, 17 in listening, 17 in writing and 20 in speaking, or 4 overall and 4 in each section for later tests. PTE Academic must be 59 with 59 in each component, and Cambridge B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency 169. Tests must be no more than two years old at the start of studies, ten years for Cambridge, and the requirement must be met by the application deadline. Applicants who completed previous education fully in English in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or the EU or EEA are exempt, as are International Baccalaureate graduates. The AI for Sustainable Societies master's asks for IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 92 or PTE 62.
