Admission at a glance
RUDN University admits foreign citizens to full-time, in-person bachelor's, specialist's and master's programmes, including programmes taught in English. Applicants apply through the RUDN International Applicant Personal Account, in person at the Admissions Office at 10/2 Miklukho-Maklaya Street in Moscow, or by email to instudent@rudn.ru. Paths to a place include contract (fee-paying) admission, the Russian government quota for international students, and state-funded places through the RUDN Open Olympiad for foreign citizens.
For the 2026/2027 academic year there is an additional admission round with document submission from September 7 to October 2, 2026 (until 18:00 Moscow time), entrance examinations until October 9 and enrolment by October 16. The master's part of this round is open to applicants who hold an education document issued by a foreign institution. Master's admission in 2026 is a portfolio competition, and bachelor's and specialist's admission uses an entrance examination in the form of an interview in Russian or in English, together with a portfolio evaluation. For English-medium programmes the interview is conducted in English using remote technologies. The minimum score is 30 out of 100.
Applicants upload a scanned education certificate with transcript (with notarised Russian translation and an apostille or legalisation where required), a passport valid for at least 18 months from admission, portfolio documents from the last two years, medical and HIV certificates valid for no more than 12 months, and a photo. RUDN issues a study invitation for visa purposes only after tuition is paid and the enrolment order is issued, and it says the invitation takes at least 30 calendar days.
