Admission at a glance

NUST has rolling admissions for international students, meaning non-Pakistani nationals who need a visa to study in Pakistan. Applications are accepted at any time of year through the international admission portal and decided on an ongoing basis, for entry in Spring (January) or Fall (September). Undergraduate applicants need at least 60% marks in SSC and HSSC or equivalent qualifications such as A Levels, and must obtain an equivalence certificate from IBCC Pakistan. They are assessed on SAT or ACT scores: engineering, computing and science programmes ask for an ACT score of at least 25, and business, social sciences and law accept SAT subject scores of at least 550. Applicants without SAT or ACT can apply with a recognised national admission test from their own country, and applicants already in Pakistan can take the NUST Entry Test. English can be shown with IELTS 5.5, TOEFL 500 or a certificate that English was the medium of instruction. Undergraduate tuition is USD 5,400 a year with a USD 600 admission processing fee, a USD 250 refundable security deposit and USD 120 a year for health facilities. Hostel accommodation is guaranteed for international students who apply for it. Bangladeshi nationals can apply for dedicated scholarships that reduce tuition to the rate paid by Pakistani citizens.
