Admission at a glance

LUMS publishes one admission cycle a year for Fall entry, and dates for Fall 2027 have not yet been published. In the Fall 2026 cycle the undergraduate online application closed on 27 January 2026 at 5 pm Pakistan time, followed by the LUMS Common Admission Test (LCAT) on 15 February 2026 and financial aid applications by 28 February 2026; applicants could instead submit SAT or ACT scores, with no minimum score required. MBA and most MS and MPhil applications closed on 14 April 2026, with the LUMS Graduate Admission Test on 3 May 2026 and classes starting on 23 August 2026. Foreign national applicants, meaning applicants not of Pakistani origin without a Pakistani passport, NICOP or CNIC, apply through the regular process and pay a USD 200 application fee instead of PKR 11,500; the only separate foreign deadline was 17 March 2026 for PhD programmes in the School of Science and Engineering. MS Computer Science applicants living outside Pakistan must take the GRE General Test. LUMS does not publish an IELTS or TOEFL requirement, and for foreign PhD applicants such scores are not required.
