Nanyang Technological University Admission Requirements 2027

NTU is one of Singapore's two largest autonomous universities, known internationally for engineering, computing and business. Its single yearly intake begins in late July or August, and the non-refundable application fee for international qualification applicants is S$25.

Requirements

Bachelor

An approved secondary-level qualification (A-Levels, IB, CBSE/ISC, or an equivalent) meeting the entry requirements of the intended programme, plus the English test scores above unless exempted by having studied fully in English.

Master

A relevant bachelor's degree meeting the entry criteria of the specific graduate programme; requirements are set and published by each NTU college or school.

Documents

Academic transcripts and certificates, English test score report (unless exempt), valid travel document, and any supporting documents requested for the specific programme, such as a personal statement or references.

How to apply

  1. Confirm your qualification is listed under NTU's International Qualifications admission guide.
  2. Submit the online application and pay the S$25 application fee.
  3. Submit final results by the stated closing date.
  4. Attend any interviews or tests if shortlisted.
  5. Receive the admission decision and accept the offer.
  6. Apply for the MOE Tuition Grant during the online application if intending to take it.
  7. Apply for the Student's Pass through ICA's SOLAR system after accepting the offer.

English test waiver

NTU requires IELTS Overall 6 with Writing 6 and Speaking 6, or TOEFL iBT 90 with Speaking 25 for tests taken before 2026; from January 2026 the TOEFL iBT report shows a rescaled Overall score of 4.5 with Speaking 4.5 instead. Only scores from within two years of the application deadline are accepted.
