Admission at a glance
Mulungushi University welcomes international applicants to its undergraduate, postgraduate and short course programmes across its Great North Road campus and Town campus in Kabwe, and its School of Medicine and Health Sciences hosted at Livingstone Teaching Hospital. The university states plainly that international students pay the same tuition fees as Zambian students; the only difference in cost is the application fee, which is USD 50 for non-Zambian applicants against K150 for Zambian applicants, paid into the university's ZANACO account.
Applicants can apply online through the university's Student Information System portal, or download and complete a paper application form (separate forms exist for full-time, online undergraduate, and postgraduate applicants for the 2026-2027 intake) and submit it, with certified copies of certificates or statements of results and a bank deposit slip or Bursar's receipt, to the Academic Office at the Great North Road Campus, or to the university's Town Campus or Learning Centre offices in Choma and Ndola.
Entry requirements are grouped by programme type rather than nationality. Business-based programmes require a credit or better in English Language and Mathematics plus three other credits; science-based programmes require a credit or better in English Language, Mathematics, Biology or Agriculture Science, and a physical science, plus two other credits; social sciences and arts programmes require a credit in English Language plus four other credits. The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery has its own O level and A level entry routes built around English Language, Mathematics, Biology and the physical sciences. Applicants holding admission letters from a previous intake who did not report must complete a new application form rather than reuse the old one. For postgraduate applicants, the university's 2026-2027 online postgraduate application form states that completed forms must reach the Assistant Manager, Admissions, by a stated closing date.

Social Sciences and Arts programmes require a credit in English Language plus four other subject credits. The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) has a separate O level pre-medicine entry route (five O level credits including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, and Science or the pure sciences, followed by one year of Foundation Sciences) and an A level or graduate direct-entry route into second year.
