University of Zambia Admission 2027 for International Students

The University of Zambia takes undergraduate applications a year ahead: its online admission advert invited applications for the 2027 intake with a deadline of 17 April 2026. Applicants need credits in five O Level subjects, including English Language, and submit Zambia Qualifications Authority certified grade twelve results or equivalents. Non-Zambian applicants using the paper application pay a non-refundable application fee of USD 60. The undergraduate fee page divides students into two groups: Zambians, refugees, students from the SADC region and resident permit holders, who pay ZMW 25,808 a year for arts-based and ZMW 31,878 for science-based or medicine-based programmes, and international students, who pay ZMW 51,363, ZMW 62,890 and ZMW 77,943. Tuition is paid in four instalments of 25%, and university accommodation costs ZMW 5,850 a year. For the 2026/2027 academic year, online registration for regular students opens on 2 November 2026 and first-year students arrive on 15 November 2026. Postgraduate deadlines and scholarships for international students are not published. The university was established by Act of Parliament in 1965 and admitted its first students in March 1966.
