London School of Economics and Political Science Admission 2027: Deadlines, Requirements, Fees for International Students

LSE is a specialist social science university in central London, teaching economics, politics, law and related subjects rather than running science laboratories or a medical school. Its undergraduate overseas fee is close to a single flat rate across its largely classroom based course range.

Admission at a glance

LSE takes undergraduate applications through UCAS with a single national deadline for equal consideration, 13 January 2027 at 18:00 UK time, since LSE has no medicine, dentistry or veterinary courses that would otherwise trigger the earlier October date used elsewhere in the UK system. English language ability is normally shown at the Standard level, IELTS 7.0 overall with 7.0 in reading and at least 6.5 in each of listening, speaking and writing, or TOEFL iBT 107 overall, with the test taken less than two years before 1 October of the intended start year; LSE notes that competitive admitted international students typically present noticeably higher scores than this minimum.

Because LSE teaches almost entirely classroom based social science, law and humanities subjects rather than laboratory science, engineering or clinical medicine, its overseas (international) undergraduate fee does not carry the wide subject bands seen at multi-faculty universities. The official LSE Table of Fees document for 2026-27 confirms an overseas undergraduate fee of GBP 35,700 a year for BSc Management and for BSc Mathematics and Economics, and this research pass found no evidence of a different rate for any other LSE undergraduate degree, so it is recorded here as the figure for the whole undergraduate course range pending confirmation against every individual programme line in that table.
