Khalifa University assesses scholarship eligibility during admission, with no separate application. International undergraduates can receive Tier I full tuition coverage, Tier II a 75% waiver, Tier III 50%, Tier IV 25%, or Tier V textbooks, and undergraduates receive no stipend. For expatriate master's students the four tiers leave the student paying 0%, 0%, 50% or 100% of tuition, with no monthly stipend. For expatriate PhD students on the research path the student pays 0%, 0%, 25% or 50% of tuition, and PhD scholarships can add a monthly stipend, visa support and travel assistance; the only published stipend amount, AED 9,200 a month, is for a joint scholarship open to Chinese nationals.
