KU Leuven Tuition Fees 2027 for International Students

KU Leuven charges by the academic year and publishes one rate for EEA students and another for everyone else, for a standard programme of 60 credits. For 2026-27 the four standard bands are EUR 1,181.40, EUR 3,093.12, EUR 5,613.12 and EUR 9,493.92, each a fixed amount plus an amount per credit. Nearly every programme charges EEA students EUR 1,181.40. Non-EEA students pay more, and most pay the top band: of the 68 master's programmes with a published non-EEA fee, 47 cost EUR 9,493.92, including Physics, Statistics and Data Science, Sustainable Development and Philosophy; 13 cost EUR 5,613.12; and four cost EUR 3,093.12, among them Theology and Religious Studies and Social and Cultural Anthropology. Two masters cost EUR 7,800, and Molecular Biology, taught jointly with VUB, costs EUR 2,500. The seven bachelor's programmes with a non-EEA fee range from EUR 3,093.12 for Theology and Religious Studies to EUR 9,493.92 for Engineering Technology and Philosophy, with Business Administration at EUR 5,613.12, the joint Business Engineering and Laws degrees with UCLouvain Saint-Louis Bruxelles at EUR 5,369, and the Bachelor of Arts in European Studies at EUR 8,500. For many advanced masters the EEA and non-EEA fee is the same. A non-EEA student who wants a Dutch-taught programme with an English-taught equivalent pays the English programme's higher fee. The fee a student starts on applies for the whole programme, subject to yearly indexation. The application fee is EUR 90 per application.
