Requirements

Bachelor

A foreign qualifying exam and, for non-European applicants, English qualifications equivalent to English B level. ITU's BSc portfolio is small and technology focused; check the specific programme page for subject prerequisites.

Master

A university or professional bachelor's degree relevant to the programme. English qualifications equivalent to English B level with a minimum grade point average of 3.0: an IELTS Academic score of at least 6.5, or a TOEFL score of at least 88 on the iBT scale (560 paper based, 225 computer based). Two programmes, Digital Innovation & Management and Digital Design and Interactive Technologies, also require Danish at A level. A statement of purpose using the programme specific template is required for every MSc application.

Documents

Passport copy, academic transcripts and degree or upper secondary certificates, an English test score report or Cambridge CPE/CAE certificate, a statement of purpose for MSc applicants, and proof of the EUR 150 application fee payment for applicants who are not EU/EEA/Swiss citizens and do not hold a qualifying Danish residence permit.

How to apply

1. Check the entry requirements and any Danish language requirement for the specific BSc or MSc programme on ITU's own pages.
2. Apply through optagelse.dk for a bachelor's programme, or directly through ITU's own portal, which opens mid January, for a master's programme.
3. Pay the EUR 150 application fee if you are not an EU/EEA/Swiss citizen and do not hold a qualifying Danish residence permit.
4. Submit all documents, including the statement of purpose for MSc applicants, by 1 March (MSc) or 15 March (BSc, via optagelse.dk).
5. Receive the admission decision; MSc decisions are issued by 10 June for a late August study start.
6. Accept the offer, pay the first semester's tuition if required, and apply for a Danish residence permit for study through SIRI.
