Hasselt University Admission 2027: Deadlines, Fees, Requirements

Hasselt University admits international students to English-taught master's programmes; all of its bachelor's programmes are taught in Dutch. Applying is free of charge, with no application fee. For 2026-2027, non-EEA applicants had programme-specific deadlines: 1 March for Biomedical Sciences, 15 March for Interior Architecture, 1 April for Management, Statistics and Data Science and Energy Engineering Technology, 1 May for Transportation Sciences on campus, and 1 June for Statistics and Data Science by distance learning. Deadlines for 2027-2028 have not been published. English requirements differ by programme: Management asks for TOEFL iBT 89, IELTS Academic 6.5 or Cambridge C1 Advanced, while Transportation Sciences and Energy Engineering Technology accept TOEFL iBT 79, IELTS Academic 6.5 or Duolingo 120, with exemptions for native speakers and holders of degrees taught fully in English. Non-EEA tuition for 2026-2027 is a fixed EUR 305.40 plus a charge per credit, which gives EUR 3,900 for a 60-credit year in Management, Interior Architecture or Transportation Sciences, EUR 6,630 in category 2 programmes and EUR 9,493.80 in Energy Engineering Technology. In the 2026-2027 round, applicants already admitted to a programme could apply for the Master Mind Scholarship by 15 March, and applicants meeting the VLIR-UOS criteria could apply for an ICP Scholarship by 1 February.
