Education University of Hong Kong Admission Requirements 2027

EdUHK is Hong Kong's dedicated teacher-education university, based in Tai Po, New Territories, and now offers a wider range of degrees alongside its education programmes. It runs rolling admission for most non-local undergraduate programmes, with a HK$300 application fee and tuition of HK$180,000 a year.

Requirements

Bachelor

An approved secondary qualification (A-Levels, IB, or an equivalent national school-leaving certificate) meeting the prerequisites of the intended programme, plus IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 79 unless the programme states otherwise.

Master

A recognised bachelor's degree meeting the entry criteria of the specific graduate programme; requirements are published separately by EdUHK's Graduate School.

Documents

Academic transcripts and certificates, English test score report, a valid travel document, and any other supporting documents the specific programme requests.

How to apply

Confirm your qualification and intended programme accept non-local, rolling admission applicants.
Submit the online application as early as possible and pay the HK$300 application fee.
Upload transcripts, certificates and English test results.
Receive the admission decision; EdUHK reviews rolling applications on an ongoing basis rather than in fixed rounds.
Accept the offer.
Apply for a Hong Kong student visa through the Immigration Department once accepted.
