Admission at a glance
The British University in Egypt admits international students through its online applicant portal, which is open for the first semester of 2026/2027, and no closing date is published on the university's site. Entry depends on the applicant's secondary certificate, and the fee tables set score bands by certificate type that decide academic scholarship categories. English is required: applicants submit Academic IELTS 5.0 or Academic TOEFL 60, pass the BUE English Test, or hold an international school certificate with the required English mark, such as C/4 in IGCSE or GCSE English. Tuition for 2026-2027 is paid in pounds sterling or the US dollar equivalent, for one academic year, and may rise by up to 10% a year. Full annual tuition is GBP 12,700 for Dentistry, GBP 11,000 for Engineering, GBP 10,850 for Informatics and Computer Science, GBP 10,500 for Business Administration, GBP 7,950 for Political Science and GBP 3,100 for Nursing. Academic scholarship categories B, A and A* reduce tuition for applicants with higher school scores, and other discounts include 5% for international certificates, 5% for paying the deposit within seven days of acceptance and 10% for partner schools. On-campus rooms for international students cost from GBP 1,800 for a triple to GBP 4,000 for a single master room.
