The British University in Egypt was established by presidential decree in 2004 and welcomed its first students in September 2005 on its campus in El Sherouk City, on the outskirts of Cairo. Tuition for international students in 2026-2027 is charged in pounds sterling per academic year, from GBP 3,100 for Nursing to GBP 12,700 for Dentistry, before academic scholarships of up to 40%. Applicants need Academic IELTS 5.0, TOEFL 60 or the required school English mark.
