Admission at a glance
Adam Mickiewicz University is a large public university based in Poznan, with faculties spread across several campuses including the Morasko campus for the sciences. International candidates apply through AMU's Online Admissions System (OAS/SIR) rather than the domestic route: registration is entirely digital, with no paper documents accepted during the admission procedure itself, only certified PDF uploads of a personal questionnaire, a secondary school certificate or foreign diploma with apostille or legalisation, sworn translations where the original is not in Polish or English, and proof of English proficiency. A candidate is evaluated and notified of the decision through their OAS account, and unsuccessful applicants may ask to remain on a waitlist within a set window. Once admitted, the certificate of admission is issued electronically in the OAS account rather than on paper. Tuition for foreign-language programmes is billed per semester rather than per year and is set individually for each programme by faculty, which is why confirmed figures for this record range from PLN 1,000 a semester for several humanities and linguistics programmes up to PLN 4,000 for International Relations, Communication and Media Studies and Public Governance; one joint programme, Digital Entrepreneurship, is currently free of charge as a named exception rather than the general rate. A medical certificate is due to the Dean's Office by 31 October for winter-semester enrolment.
