Requirements

Bachelor

• A secondary school certificate that qualifies for higher education in its country of issue, submitted as a certified digital copy with apostille or legalisation.
• English proficiency at CEFR B2 for English-taught programmes: IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 72, PTE Academic 59, TOEIC 785 (Listening and Reading), or Cambridge B2 First or higher.
• Programme-specific requirements set by the admitting faculty.

Master

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, submitted as a certified digital copy of the diploma.
• The same B2 English minimum as bachelor level.
• Programme-specific requirements set by the admitting faculty.

Documents

A personal questionnaire with photo generated from the OAS account; secondary school certificate or foreign degree diploma, apostilled or legalised; sworn translation into Polish or English where the original is in another language; proof of English proficiency; a colour digital photo meeting the system's minimum resolution; and, where relevant, a document supporting exemption from tuition. All documents are uploaded as PDFs; no paper documents are accepted during admission itself.

How to apply

1. Choose a bachelor's or master's programme and check its specific requirements.
2. Register in the Online Admissions System (OAS) and record your financial/fee-paying status for the application.
3. Upload the required documents: certified secondary school certificate or foreign diploma, translations, and proof of English proficiency.
4. Pay the application fee (PLN 85, or PLN 100 where the programme sets a written or oral exam, interview or other assessment).
5. Wait for the selection decision, delivered through your OAS account under 'Letters and Decisions'.
6. Accept the offer and complete enrolment, then request the documents needed for the visa.
7. Apply for the national type D student visa.

English test waiver

Programmes are taught in English at CEFR B2 level; an IB or EB diploma taught in English, or a degree completed in English, generally satisfies the requirement without a separate test. Non-EU citizens are asked for a certified test score under the university's 2025 admission ordinance; EU citizens without a qualifying certificate may instead sit AMU's own online English exam and need 100 out of 150 points (two attempts allowed). Cambridge B2 First (FCE) or higher and TOEIC (785 Listening and Reading) are also accepted.
