Aarhus University is Denmark's second largest university, with its main campus in Aarhus and further sites across Jutland. Non-EU, non-EEA and non-Swiss master's applicants apply directly to the university by 15 January for a September start, and pay tuition of roughly EUR 13,000 to 17,300 a year depending on the programme.

Citizens of the EU, the EEA and Switzerland pay no tuition at Aarhus University. Non-EU/EEA/Swiss students pay tuition set by programme; confirmed figures for this record run from about EUR 13,000 to EUR 17,300 a year, with the exact rate published on each programme's own page rather than as one university wide figure. Non-EU/EEA/Swiss applicants also pay a EUR 150 application fee (about DKK 1,125), covering up to three applications in the same round, deducted from tuition on enrolment. A residence permit cannot be issued without proof that tuition has been paid.
