About the Bangladesh University of Professionals
Bangladesh University of Professionals is the 29th Government University of Bangladesh, established in Mirpur Cantonment in Dhaka in 2008. It is the first government university in Bangladesh run by the Armed Forces. It was developed under the Bangladesh University of Professionals Ordinance, 2008 law.
BUP Admission Circular 2022-23
In the 2022-23 season, the Bangladesh University of Professionals Admission Test will hold by writing methods. Students can apply for admission from 23 February 2023 to 15 March 2023, and the admission test will hold on 24th and 25th March.
BUP admission requirements for apply:
Qualifications for faculty for Arts and Social Sciences:
- A candidate must pass SSC/equivalent and HSC/Equivalent examinations in any group.
- Candidates of the Science Group must have a total GPA of 9.00 in the SSc/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examinations with a minimum GPA of 4.50 in each exam.
- Candidates of Business Studies Group must have a total GPA of 8.50 in the SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examination with a minimum CPA of 4.00 in each exam.
- Candidates of the Humanities group must have a total GPA of 8.00 in the SSc/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examination with a minimum GPA of 4.00 in each of the exams.
Requirements for Faculty of Business Studies:
- A candidate must pass SSC/equivalent and HSC/Equivalent examination in any group.
- Candidates of the Science Group must have a total GPA of 9.00 in the SSc/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examinations with a minimum GPA of 4.25 in each exam.
- Candidates of the Business Studies Group must have a total GPA of 8.50 in SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examinations with a minimum CPA of 4.00 in each exam.
- Candidates of the Humanities group must have a total GPA of 8.50 in SSc/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examinations with a minimum GPA of 4.00 in each of the exams.
Requirements for Faculty Security and Strategic Studies:
- A candidate must pass SSC/equivalent and HSC/Equivalent examinations in any group.
- Candidates of Science Group must have a total GPA of 9.00 in the SSc/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examination with a minimum GPA of 4.00 in each of the exams.
- Candidates of the Business Studies Group must have a total GPA of 8.50 in the SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examination with a minimum CPA of 4.00 in each of the exams.
- Candidates of the Humanities group must have a total GPA of 8.25 in SSc/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examination with a minimum GPA of 4.00 in each of the exams.
Requirements for Faculty of Science and Technology:
- A candidate must pass SSC/equivalent and HSC/Equivalent examination in the Science group.
- Candidates of Science Group must have a total GPA of 9.25 in SSc/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examination with a minimum GPA of 4.50 in each of the exams.

BUP Admission Detailed Time Plan
- Online Application submission: 23 February 2023 to 15 March 2023.
- Publication of the list of Eligible candidates for the written exam: 18 March 2023.
- Admit Cards can be viewed and printed by individual applicants from www.bup.edu.bd from 21th March 2023 onwards.
- Written tests will hold as per the following schedule:
Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences: 24th March 2023 (Friday) – 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Faculty of Security and Strategic Studies: 24th March 2023 (Friday) – 03:00 PM to 04:00 PM
Faculty of Business Studies: 25th March 2023 (Saturday) – 03:00 PM to 04:00 PM
Faculty of Science and Technology: 25th March 2023 (Saturday) – 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM

How to apply for BUP Admission 2022-23
All Bangladesh University of Professionals faculty will have to apply online for honors for the first year season 2022-2023 from 24th February 2023 to 15th March 2023.
How to apply online,
- The Application Processing Fee is Taka 1000.00 only for Each Faculty.
- The Application Processing fee must be deposited online through your preferred Card/mobile financial service/internet banking. The service charge is applicable. Detailed payment procedure is available at the “How to Apply” link on the admission website admission.bup.edu.bd
