Bogura Science and Technology University in short BSTU is a government-financed public university established on 27 January 2020. It is the 13th Science & Technological University in Bangladesh and the only Science & Technological University in the northern part of Bangladesh.

The government has taken initiatives to set up the University of Science and Technology at Bogura. The Cabinet approved in principle the draft of bills for establishing science and technology universities in Bogura districts on 28 December 2021 with a title of “Bogura Science and Technology University Bill, 2020”.
