Vilnius University Admission Requirements 2027

Vilnius University, whose founding charter dates from 1579, has 26,553 students including 3,424 from abroad. Non-EU students pay EUR 3,250 to EUR 6,000 a year for an English-taught bachelor's and mostly EUR 4,400 to EUR 6,550 for a master's, with Medicine at EUR 14,100 and Dentistry at EUR 15,000. The application fee is EUR 100, and the non-EU deadline for autumn 2026 was 1 May.

English test waiver

Vilnius University accepts IELTS Academic 6.5, TOEFL iBT 81, Cambridge English 176, PTE Academic 59, LanguageCert IESOL B2, the Duolingo English Test at 120, Password Skills Plus 6.5, or another certificate equivalent to CEFR B2 for programmes taught in English, and results from different tests cannot be combined. Native speakers and applicants whose previous studies were taught in English are exempt. Some programmes differ: the English Studies masters require C1, with IELTS 7, TOEFL iBT 94, PTE 76 or Duolingo 130, while the master's in Languages and Cultures of the Nordic and Baltic Sea Region accepts IELTS 6, TOEFL iBT 60 or Duolingo 105.
