Würzburg charges no tuition fee to non-EU students as of the 2026-09-07 verification date; Bavarian law allows individual universities to introduce a non-EU tuition fee, and TU Munich already charges one while FAU has announced one from summer semester 2027, so this position should be rechecked periodically. All students, including exchange students, pay a semester fee, which the university's international office states at EUR 182.10, made up of a EUR 72 student services fee and a EUR 110.10 semester ticket.
Applying through uni-assist is not free. uni-assist charges a handling fee of EUR 75 for the first application in a semester and EUR 30 for each further application in the same semester. The fee is not refunded whatever the outcome, and some universities cover it for their applicants.
