Admission at a glance
International applicants apply online through the university's registration platform, enrollapp.uwed.uz, during a stated application window of 1 June to 10 August 2026 for the 2026/2027 academic year. The same window is listed for bachelor's and master's programmes. Applicants choose a programme, the language and mode of study, and say whether they already hold a higher education qualification.
Master's programmes for international students are taught in English. Applicants need a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a valid English proficiency certificate at level B2 or higher under international standards, such as IELTS or an equivalent test. Bachelor's programmes for international students are taught in Russian and Uzbek, so applicants need a high level of one of those languages; English at B2 or above is an advantage.
Admission has two stages. The admissions committee first reviews the documents, and then applicants have an interview with UWED representatives. At the interview stage applicants also submit a motivation letter in English, a CV, and, if they have them, a list of achievements with supporting documents such as certificates or recommendation letters. Required documents are a scanned passport or other valid identification, a diploma with a transcript of completed courses and grades that is legalized or apostilled, a 3.5 x 4.5 cm digital photograph, and the language certificate as a PDF. Admitted students get help with the visa process but pay the visa fee themselves. The academic year has a Fall semester from September to December and a Spring semester from January to May.
