University of the Witwatersrand Tuition Fees 2027

Wits sets international fees by nationality and level for 2026. Undergraduates from SADC countries pay the same tuition as South African students plus a non-refundable International Registration Fee of R6,970 a year. Undergraduates from any country outside SADC pay double the local tuition fees and no registration fee. Postgraduate students from anywhere in the world pay local tuition plus the R6,970 International Registration Fee, and part-time undergraduates pay local tuition plus the fee. The 2026 fees book gives local first-year tuition such as ZAR 47,930 to ZAR 83,760 for the LLB and ZAR 98,870 for the BSc in Computer Science, and postgraduate fees from ZAR 28,910 for a full-time LLM by research to ZAR 333,360 to ZAR 427,890 for the MBA. International students pay 75% of annual tuition on or before registration and the rest by 30 June 2026. The undergraduate application fee is R100 and the postgraduate fee R200.
