Admission at a glance
UWI Mona invites applications for undergraduate study at no charge; admitted students then pay a non-refundable commitment fee of J$35,000. Graduate applications for 2026/2027 closed on 31 December 2025 for the clinical programmes and the MSc Economics and on 31 March 2026 for other programmes starting in August or September 2026, and applications for entry in January 2027 close on 31 October 2026. Applicants whose first language is not English need IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 82. The 2026/2027 fee schedules, published in May 2026, charge international students USD 15,000 a year for most undergraduate programmes in humanities and education, science and technology and social sciences, or USD 555 per credit, USD 28,000 a year for Medicine and Surgery and for Dental Surgery, and USD 15,000 a year for most graduate programmes, including the MBA and LLM. Students from Caribbean contributing countries pay lower rates, for example USD 10,000 a year for Law and Engineering. The only scholarship with a stated amount on the graduate pages is a J$1,000,000 a year research award reserved for UWI graduates.
