Admission at a glance

The University of Saskatchewan, known as USask, is a public university in Saskatoon and the province's largest. Admission is based on the applicant's secondary school record in the courses required for the chosen program, and USask applies directly rather than through a shared provincial application service. USask publishes first-year tuition estimates by program each year rather than one flat undergraduate rate; for a large majority of undergraduate programs, the international rate is set as a fixed multiple of the domestic rate, which for 2026/27 is 4.84 times the domestic figure. English proficiency is required unless the applicant is exempt, through a recognized test such as IELTS, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic, CAEL or Cambridge English, or through at least one year of full-time study at a recognized institution where English is the language of instruction and assessment. USask charges a non-refundable application fee on top of any program-specific fee noted on individual program pages. At the time of verification, USask's admissions site said that requirements and dates for direct-entry programs in the 2027-28 cycle, which covers Fall 2027 admission, would only become available once applications opened on 25 September 2026, after the date of this review; the university's most recently published international deadline, for Fall 2026 entry, was 1 May 2026 with supporting documents due by 1 June 2026.
