University of Saskatchewan Admission Requirements 2027

The University of Saskatchewan (USask), in Saskatoon, publishes first-year international tuition estimates by program for 2026/27 ranging from about CAD 39,000 a year in Arts to about CAD 59,400 a year in Engineering, alongside separate professional programs such as Law, Pharmacy and Dentistry. USask had not yet published its September 2027 international application deadline at the time of verification.

Requirements

Bachelor

Admission is based on the applicant's secondary school record in the courses required for the chosen program; specific prerequisites and competitive averages vary by program. There is no single published minimum average across all programs.

Graduate

Set by the individual graduate program; applicants should confirm requirements, references and, for research programs, a supervisor, on the specific program's page.

Documents

Official transcripts in required prerequisite courses; English proficiency test results unless exempt; a copy of the passport information page for the later study permit application.

English test waiver

USask also accepts CAEL and CAEL CE (minimum 70), Cambridge English: Advanced (grade C, minimum 65) and CanTest (minimum 4.5), or at least one year of full-time study at a recognized post-secondary institution where English is the language of instruction and examination. TOEFL scores on the former 0 to 120 scale, from tests taken before 21 January 2026, remain acceptable for up to two years if they meet the 86 overall minimum.
