The University of Rwanda (UR) is Rwanda's national public university, formed in 2013 by merging 14 higher-education institutions, and is organised into seven Colleges across multiple campuses with headquarters in Kigali. It enrolled 31,267 students as of its most recent published Facts and Figures report (December 2024). International applicants use the same online application portal and, for most programmes, pay the same tuition as Rwandan students, with a modest surcharge on administrative fees.
