The University of Pécs, founded in 1367, is Hungary's oldest university, and its Medical School is one of the country's main destinations for international students reading medicine in English. General Medicine costs USD 16,750 a year for students starting in 2027/28 and Dentistry USD 17,350; the Faculty of Pharmacy and the biotechnology degrees are priced in euros instead, from EUR 7,000 a year.

The Medical School's intake for the 2027/2028 academic year. Online applications close on 30 June 2027 and the USD 200 application fee has to be paid by 3 July. Entrance examinations run through the cycle, and the last date is 15 July 2027, with the USD 250 examination fee due by 8 July for that sitting. An applicant choosing the last examination date leaves no room for a retake, so an earlier sitting is worth taking. Pharmacy and Biotechnology BSc applicants pay no application fee.
