Münster charges no tuition fee for regular degree programmes, to EU or non-EU students alike; the only exception is a small number of in-service continuing education programmes. All students pay a semester contribution of approximately EUR 370 at the start of each term, covering the semester ticket and student services. Students enrolling in a preparatory DSH language course pay an additional EUR 500 for that course.
Applying through uni-assist is not free. uni-assist charges a handling fee of EUR 75 for the first application in a semester and EUR 30 for each further application in the same semester. The fee is not refunded whatever the outcome, and some universities cover it for their applicants.
