University of Botswana Admission 2027 for International Students

The University of Botswana admits local and international students each August. Undergraduate applications for August 2026 entry closed on 6 August 2026, and graduate applications for August 2026 closed on 16 August 2026; dates for 2027 entry have not been published. The application fee is BWP 250 for residents, African students and non-residents alike, and graduate applicants who submit two applications pay a separate fee for each. Undergraduate applicants need English Language as a qualifying subject, at grade C or better for non-science programmes and grade D or better for science programmes at BGCSE level or equivalent. The 2026/27 fee schedule divides students into resident and African students and non-resident students: bachelor's degrees in science and engineering cost BWP 37,200 or BWP 74,700 a year, other faculties BWP 28,200 or BWP 56,100, and the School of Medicine BWP 41,400 or BWP 82,500, while an MBA costs BWP 37,920 or BWP 57,120. The university's international students page lists a visa application fee of BWP 500 and a charge of BWP 1,500 for immigration services for the residence permit.
