University of Botswana Admission Requirements 2027

The University of Botswana was established as a separate national university on 1 July 1982. Its 2026/27 fee schedule charges resident and African students BWP 28,200 to BWP 41,400 a year for bachelor's degrees and non-resident students BWP 56,100 to BWP 82,500, so students from any African country pay the lower rate. The application fee is BWP 250 for all applicants.

English test waiver

At the University of Botswana, English Language is one of the qualifying subjects for all undergraduate programmes: applicants need at least grade C in English at BGCSE or an equivalent qualification for non-science degrees and at least grade D for science-based degrees. Documents not in English must come with a certified official English translation. No IELTS or TOEFL minimum is published.
