Tohoku University Scholarships 2027 for International Students
Tohoku University is a national research university in Sendai and one of Japan's oldest imperial universities. From 2027 it launches Gateway College, a new interdisciplinary undergraduate programme taught primarily in English with separate April and October admission cycles, replacing its earlier Future Global Leadership Program.
Tohoku University participates in the Japanese government's MEXT scholarship and its own tuition and admission fee waiver scheme for students facing financial hardship with an adequate academic record. Students can also apply for JASSO and other external scholarships through the university's international student support office.
