Admission at a glance

SIIT is the international, English-medium institute of Thammasat University, offering 8 undergraduate programs (Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial and Smart Logistics, Mechanical, Computer, and Digital Engineering, plus Business and Supply Chain Analytics) and graduate programs at master's and doctoral level in engineering, technology and business analytics. International (non-Thai) applicants to the undergraduate programs can apply through several routes published on the SIIT admissions site: the general Inter Portfolio and Inter Program rounds that Thai and foreign applicants both use, the Excellent Foreign Students (EFS-U) scholarship route restricted to non-Thai nationals with a standard high school diploma, and the Special Admission Program for International Students (SPI-U) route for non-Thai nationals who hold a GED or equivalent rather than a Thai-recognized diploma. For the EFS-U route, applicants submit a passport copy, national or standardized test scores (SAT, GCE A-Level, IB, ACT, NCEA, or country-specific national exams depending on nationality), and a high school transcript, with no application fee charged. Graduate applicants (master's and doctoral) apply through SIIT's own online portal, submitting a statement of purpose, CV, official transcripts (bachelor's GPA of at least 2.75 for master's applicants, plus a master's transcript with GPA 3.50 for doctoral applicants), a passport or citizen ID, and, if available, an English proficiency score. All new undergraduate students must also either submit a qualifying English score or complete an English communication course (EL105) as part of their first year of study. Tuition for the undergraduate international programs is billed as a single flat per-semester rate under the SIIT tuition schedule, currently 112,800 Baht per semester for the first seven semesters of the 2026-2027 academic year (ID 69-70 cohorts), the same schedule that SIIT's own foreign-student scholarship documents describe as being partially or fully waived for scholarship recipients, which confirms that non-Thai students are charged on this same schedule rather than a separate one.

Requirements

Bachelor

Applicants to SIIT's 8 undergraduate international programs must hold a high school diploma (or GED for the SPI-U route for non-Thai nationals without a Thai-recognized diploma) and submit qualifying national or standardized test scores, which vary by nationality and are listed in SIIT's 'Admission Criteria for Submission of National Test Scores' document (for example SAT, ACT, IB, GCE A-Level, or country-specific national examinations such as China's NCEE or Myanmar's MME). Non-Thai applicants under the EFS-U scholarship route must additionally hold non-Thai nationality and a clean disciplinary record. All new undergraduate students must submit a qualifying English score for exemption from course EL105 or take the course in their first year.

Master

Applicants to SIIT's master's programs need a bachelor's degree with a GPA of at least 2.75.
