Requirements

Bachelor's degree

Academic entry requirements are assessed per programme; certified copies of prior qualifications must be submitted with the application, at least eight weeks before the course starts for international applicants.

English language

IELTS Academic 6.0, no band below 6.0; TOEFL iBT 64 (minimum 13 reading, 12 listening, 18 speaking, 21 writing); or PTE Academic 50 (no communicative skill below 50). Scores must be within two years of the intended start date.

Postgraduate

MBA, Master of Construction Management and Master of Information Technology: IELTS 6.5, no band below 6.0. Master of TESOL: IELTS 7.0, no band below 6.5. Academic entry requirements set per programme, generally a relevant bachelor's degree.

  • Passport copy
  • Application submitted at least eight weeks before the course starts
  • Documents for the student visa application, submitted after an offer is accepted, timed to reach acceptance around 60 days ahead of the intake

How to apply

  1. Check academic and English requirements for the intended programme on Swinburne Sarawak's admission pages.
  2. Submit the application with certified transcripts and English test evidence at least eight weeks before the course starts.
  3. Receive and accept the offer, allowing around 60 days before the intake date for visa processing.
  4. Apply for the student visa (Student Pass) through the standard Malaysian EMGS process once the offer is accepted.
  5. Pay tuition fees according to the fee schedule for the chosen programme (Foundation and Diploma quoted as totals, undergraduate and most postgraduate quoted annually or per programme).
  6. Travel to Malaysia once the Visa Approval Letter is issued, then complete post-arrival medical screening and Student Pass registration.
  7. Applicants who do not meet the English requirement directly can be directed to Swinburne's English Enhancement Program (EEP) before starting their main course.
