Admission at a glance

Sejong University is a private university in Gwangjin, Seoul, admitting international undergraduates whose parents both hold non-Korean nationality into a wide range of departments, with a substantial English Track, entirely English-taught, spanning International Affairs, Public Administration, Media and Communication, Business Administration, Economics, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Computer Science and Engineering, Comics and Animation Technology, Fashion Design and Contemporary Music, alongside a larger Korean Track covering the rest of its departments. Admission is a document-based comprehensive evaluation, with departments free to add an interview, audition or extra documents.

For its most recently confirmed cycle, Fall 2026, Sejong ran two rounds: Round 1 online application 9 to 24 March 2026 with admission decisions 7 May 2026, and Round 2 online application 27 April to 15 May 2026 with admission decisions 1 July 2026; tuition payment followed each round's decision date, and Certificates of Admission were issued from 2 July (Round 1) or 24 July 2026 (Round 2). Sejong also runs a Spring intake, though this review did not locate a Spring 2027 guide with exact dates at the time of this review; the Fall 2027 guide was likewise not yet published. English Track applicants need IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 71 (4.0 on the redesigned scale for tests from 21 January 2026), or New TEPS 327, exempt for students from English-official-language countries; Korean Track applicants need TOPIK level 3 for most majors (level 4 for Korean Language and Literature, Media and Communication and Business Administration; level 2 for Creative Studies, Arts and Physical Education), or an equivalent completed level at the Sejong Language Center, and must reach the same level before graduating regardless of entry route. Applicants who do not yet meet the language requirement can take Sejong's own prep course and reapply once they pass it.

Tuition for 2026 runs from KRW 4,669,000 a semester in Humanities and Social Sciences, Business, Economics, Hospitality and Tourism, through KRW 5,521,000 in Natural Sciences and Physical Education, to KRW 6,340,000 in Information Technology, Advanced Convergence, Engineering and Life Sciences, and KRW 6,392,000 in Arts (excluding Physical Education). The application fee is KRW 150,000 total, refunded only for reasons outside the applicant's control such as a natural disaster, hospitalisation, injury, or a Sejong error.
