Requirements
Bachelor's (undergraduate college)
A secondary diploma; Sciences Po runs its own undergraduate selection process rather than Parcoursup for international applicants. Language requirement depends on the target campus and track.
Master's (graduate)
A bachelor's degree or equivalent (180 ECTS) from a non-French institution, or the French equivalent. Two-stage selection: admissibility, then admission. Language test requirement depends on the specific master's programme; some are waived for applicants with prior English-medium study.
Documents
Completed application form, academic references, professional references where relevant, a motivation letter in the programme's teaching language, language test scores where required, and supporting documents as PDF (2MB maximum per file). A EUR 150 application fee applies across undergraduate, graduate and doctoral applications.
How to apply
- Choose the campus and programme; for the 2027 intake, admissions open at the end of September 2026.
- Complete the admissibility stage of the application, including references, motivation letter and any required test scores.
- If admissible, proceed to the admission stage.
- Pay the EUR 150 application fee.
- Once admitted, arrange tuition payment (EUR 14,900 undergraduate or EUR 20,640 graduate for non-EEA students) and apply for the student visa.
English test waiver
Sciences Po does not publish one fixed IELTS or TOEFL minimum for every graduate programme; its language-requirements page instead lists exemptions (at least two consecutive years of a degree programme fully taught in English, or a high-school diploma taught in English, such as IB English A, European Baccalaureate L1 or GCE Advanced levels) and states that for some programmes no specific English level is required at admission, though a C1 level must be demonstrated by the end of the two-year master's to graduate.
