RMIT University Vietnam Admission 2026 for International Students

Admission at a glance

International applicants (non-Vietnamese passport holders) apply directly to RMIT University Vietnam through its online application portal for one of three yearly intakes: February or March, June or July, and October. The process starts by choosing a program, for example the Bachelor of Business at the Saigon South or Hanoi campus, or the Master of Business Administration, then checking the academic and English-language entry requirements published on that program's own page, since RMIT Vietnam sets its requirements program by program rather than as one university-wide rule. For the Bachelor of Business this means completion of a Vietnamese Upper Secondary School Graduation Diploma with a minimum GPA of 7.0 out of 10.0 for Grade 12, or an equivalent international qualification assessed against RMIT's country equivalency page, plus an English test such as IELTS 6.5 overall with no band below 6.0, TOEFL iBT 79, or Pearson Test of English 58. Once eligibility is confirmed, applicants gather supporting documents using RMIT's published undergraduate or postgraduate application checklist and submit the online application with those documents attached. RMIT says it normally advises applicants of the outcome within 10 business days. After accepting an offer and paying a non-refundable tuition fee deposit, RMIT Vietnam prepares a visa invitation letter, which the applicant uses to apply for a Vietnamese student visa at a nominated embassy or consulate, a step the university says can take up to two months to process. Because places in competitive programs can fill before the published deadline, RMIT Vietnam recommends international applicants apply four to six months ahead of the trimester start date, and the university's International Support team sends further guidance on buddies, airport pickup, and accommodation before the semester begins.

Requirements

Bachelor

Academic: completion of a Vietnamese Upper Secondary School (High School) Graduation Diploma with a minimum GPA of 7.0 out of 10.0 for Grade 12 (published on the Bachelor of Business page), or an equivalent qualification assessed under RMIT's entry requirements by country. Entry is also available through the UniSTART Academic program or the Foundation Studies pathway.

English (Bachelor of Business; the same minimums are published on the Master of Business Administration page): successful completion of RMIT Vietnam English Advanced, or one of: IELTS Academic (or IELTS Academic One Skill Retake) minimum overall band 6.5 with no individual band below 6.0; TOEFL iBT score of 79 (minimum 13 Reading, 12 Listening, 18 Speaking, 21 Writing; tests taken on or after 21 January 2026 must be TOEFL iBT Australia, and results on the old 1 to 6 scale are not accepted); Pearson Test of English Academic score of 58 with no communication band below 50; or Cambridge C1 Advanced/C2 Proficiency minimum score of 176 with no component below 169.
