Requirements
Bachelor
- Applicants whose secondary schooling was completed in the EU/EEA, in a country with a bilateral agreement with Spain, or who hold an IB or EB diploma: register with UNEDasiss for an access credential.
- Applicants from any other foreign school system: obtain homologacion of the secondary certificate from Spain's Ministry of Education first, then register with UNEDasiss.
- Foreign documentation must be legalised and officially translated; conditional admission is possible while legalisation is completed.
Master
- A bachelor's degree from an EHEA institution, or, for a non-EHEA degree, UPC's own verification that it is equivalent to a Spanish university degree and would have allowed master's-level study in its country of origin.
- Programme-specific academic requirements set by the individual master's degree.
- For programmes with an English requirement, CEFR B2 or higher, evidenced by IELTS 5.5 to 6.5, TOEFL iBT 72 to 94, PTE Academic 59 to 75, or another certificate on the Catalan inter-university table.
Documents
Passport or national ID copy; the UNEDasiss/UNED access or homologation credential (bachelor applicants); academic transcripts and prior degree certificate, legalised and officially translated (master applicants); and a language certificate from the Catalan inter-university table matching the specific programme's requirement.
How to apply
- Confirm the bachelor access route (UNEDasiss only, or Ministry homologacion first), or for master's, whether the prior degree needs UPC's equivalence verification.
- Register with UNEDasiss or gather transcripts and legalised, translated documents well before the relevant deadline.
- Apply through the shared Catalan pre-enrolment system (bachelor) or directly through the specific master's own pre-enrolment rounds (master), applying in the earliest round where possible.
- Submit the required documents; conditional admission is available for non-EU applicants still completing legalisation.
- Accept the offer, pay the EUR 300 non-refundable admission fee where it applies (master's), then complete matricula and pay tuition within the published window.
- Use the acceptance and enrolment documents to apply for the Spanish national student visa.
English test waiver
UPC recognises the certificate table the Consell Interuniversitari de Catalunya (the Catalan government's inter-university council) approved and published in the DOGC, which sets IELTS 5.5 to 6.5, TOEFL iBT 72 to 94 and PTE Academic 59 to 75 as equivalent to CEFR B2; UPC's own master's academic-requirements page states that individual master's programmes may set their own specific language prerequisites beyond this general standard.
