Óbuda University Admission Requirements 2027

Óbuda University in Budapest was added to Hungary's list of state universities on 1 January 2010, succeeding Budapest Polytechnic, which was established in 2000. Non-EEA students pay EUR 2,700 to EUR 3,200 per semester for English-taught bachelor's programmes and EUR 3,200 to EUR 3,600 per semester for master's programmes. The application fee is EUR 150, and bachelor's and master's applicants need IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 72.

The English requirement can be waived for applicants whose previous studies were completed fully in English, with qualification documents issued originally in English. Óbuda University does not accept the Duolingo English Test. PhD applicants need IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL iBT 95.
