Nazarbayev University runs separate competitions for grants and for fee-paying places. For 2026-27, international applicants to undergraduate programmes applied for grants from 27 September 2025 to 10 February 2026, with IELTS or TOEFL results due by 12 February. Fee-paying international applicants from countries needing a visa before arrival had until 17 July 2026, and those eligible for a visa on arrival until 17 August 2026. A mid-year intake for the spring semester of the bachelor's programmes, on a fee-paying basis only, takes online applications from 18 August to 28 November 2026 at 2 pm Astana time; applicants to it do not compete for grants and need a total NUET score of at least 130 with 60 in each subject, or the international test alternatives. International undergraduates can also qualify with a Digital SAT of 1240, ACT composite 26, IB 30 or A levels of ABB. The application fee is 10,000 tenge, or 30,000 tenge if paid in the last two weeks, and is not refunded; master's applications cost 15,000 tenge. English is required at IELTS 6.0 overall with 6.0 in writing for bachelor's study. The Fall 2027 dates had not been published when this page was checked.
