Requirements

Bachelor

Completion of an approved secondary qualification (GCE A-Level, International Baccalaureate, CBSE/ISC Class XII, or an equivalent national school-leaving certificate) meeting the prerequisites of the chosen programme. Actual or predicted results are submitted with the application; shortlisting for admission tests or interviews is based on actual results where the qualification is already complete.

Master

A recognised bachelor's degree relevant to the programme, meeting the entry criteria set by the individual faculty or school. Requirements (minimum GPA, work experience, GRE/GMAT) vary by programme and are published on each school's own admissions page.

Documents

Academic transcripts and certificates for all qualifications listed, a valid travel document, English test score report if required, and any programme-specific documents (portfolio, references, personal statement) as specified by the faculty. Financial documentation is required separately for the Student's Pass application after an offer is accepted.

How to apply

  1. Check programme prerequisites on the NUS admissions site.
  2. Submit the online application and pay the S$20 (undergraduate) or S$100 (graduate coursework) application fee.
  3. Apply for financial aid separately, if needed, once the main application is submitted.
  4. Submit actual results and any outstanding documents by the closing date for your qualification.
  5. Attend admission tests or interviews in Singapore if shortlisted.
  6. Receive the admission outcome by email; accept the offer and register for the MOE Tuition Grant if eligible.
  7. Apply for the Student's Pass through ICA's SOLAR system once the offer is accepted.

English test waiver

Applicants who completed secondary education fully in English, in an approved system, may be exempt. NUS also accepts C1 Advanced (180), MUET and PTE Academic as alternatives to IELTS or TOEFL.
