Makerere University's 2026/2027 private undergraduate admission advert sets tuition per semester in Uganda shillings, with separate columns for Ugandans and East Africans and for international students. International students pay tuition of UGX 3,406,760 a semester for Medicine and Surgery, Dental Surgery and Nursing Science (against UGX 2,044,056), UGX 2,714,762 for Civil Engineering and UGX 2,874,454 for Computer Science (against UGX 1,916,303). International undergraduates also pay functional fees of UGX 1,516,253 in semester one and UGX 132,250 in semester two. The undergraduate application fee is USD 75 for international applicants, and the graduate application fee is UGX 151,500.
