Makerere University in Kampala was established in 1922 as a technical college. Its 2026/2027 private-entry undergraduate fees for international students are set per semester, for example UGX 3,406,760 for Medicine and Surgery and UGX 2,874,454 for Computer Science, while Ugandans and East Africans pay a lower rate. International applicants pay a USD 75 undergraduate application fee.
