KNUST admits international applicants to undergraduate programmes through an online application, with a non-refundable application processing fee of USD 100 or its cedi equivalent. For the 2026/2027 academic year, international undergraduate applications closed on Monday 31 August 2026. Applicants from non-English speaking countries must provide at least a one-year English Proficiency Certificate. Provisional undergraduate fees for international freshers in 2026/2027 combine tuition, other charges of USD 1,454.55 and programme-specific additional charges: humanities programmes such as Economics or English total USD 4,430, most engineering programmes total USD 6,280, and Medicine and Dental Surgery total USD 7,563. Research and higher degree applicants for 2026/2027, Ghanaian or international, buy an e-voucher for GHS 350 and complete the online application by 30 September 2026; applicants from non-Anglophone countries need a recognised English certificate such as TOEFL or IELTS with an above average score, or a three-month English course at KNUST. The postgraduate fee schedule for international freshers is still labelled 2025/2026, with a typical MSc or MA in the humanities totalling USD 6,986 including thesis charges. The Graduate Entry Medicine Programme (MBChB) charges international freshers USD 10,000 in tuition for 2026/2027.
