Corvinus University of Budapest Admission Requirements 2027

Corvinus University of Budapest is Hungary's best-known business and economics university. Bachelor's degrees cost EUR 6,000 to EUR 6,600 a year for students from outside the EEA and master's EUR 6,800 to EUR 10,800, with the fee fixed for the whole degree. Applications for a September start close in the summer, and English is accepted at B2 from an unusually wide list including Duolingo 100.

English test waiver

Corvinus asks for English at a minimum equivalent of CEFR B2, documented by 1 August, and publishes an unusually long accepted list: Cambridge First (FCE) or higher, IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 65, TOEFL iBT or Home Edition 72, TOEIC 785, Duolingo English Test 100, SkillCert English for Global Professionals 96, A-level or International A-level English at grade B, International Baccalaureate English at Standard Level 5 or Higher Level 4, the Hungarian advanced Matura in English at 45 per cent, GCSE or IGCSE English at grade 6 or B, or B2 certified by a recognised preparatory provider such as INTO, Study Group, Kaplan, Navitas or Corvinus's own preparatory programme. Native speakers upload a declaration instead. One warning is worth repeating because it catches applicants from South Asia: a school simply listing English as its language of instruction is not enough. Corvinus requires official documents proving that all examinations, including the final school-leaving exams, were taken in English.
