The Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics (BSUIR) in Minsk admits foreign citizens to first degree, Master's and PhD programmes in information technology, radioengineering, electronics, computer systems, information security and digital economics. More than 40 programmes are taught in Russian or English. Applicants for a first degree need basic education equal to general secondary education in Belarus, and Master's applicants need a Bachelor of Science degree. Applicants send an application form, a copy of their educational certificate with subjects and marks, and a copy of a birth certificate, passport or other identity document to the Admissions Office by e-mail. Applicants from African and Arabian countries also send a bank statement showing financial sustainability. BSUIR examines each application and e-mails shortlisted applicants a letter of invitation, which is issued free of charge, and there is no application fee. The application deadline for first degree and Master's programmes in the 2026 admission is 1 October 2026. Foreign applicants without Belarusian secondary or higher education are admitted on the results of an admission interview held in Russian or English, depending on the programme. No IELTS or TOEFL certificate is needed for English-medium programmes. After arrival in Belarus, students submit original documents, take the interview, sign a study contract and pay tuition, complete a medical screening, and register with the migration authority.

Requirements

Bachelor

  • Basic education corresponding to general secondary education in Belarus.
  • Copy of the educational certificate stating all subjects studied and the marks obtained.
  • An admission interview in English for English-medium programmes, or in Russian for Russian-medium programmes. No IELTS or TOEFL certificate is required.

Master

  • A Bachelor of Science degree.
  • An admission interview in the language of instruction and in the subject area.
  • On arrival, a certificate of equivalence of the Bachelor degree to the Belarusian system, for those enrolling in a Master or PhD programme.
